Dancer/choreographer Kyle Abraham and his company Abraham.In.Motion headline the 2011-2012 Emory Dance Program season. The season includes a new series showcasing choreography in progress, lectures from some of the nation's leading dance scholars, and concerts from the Emory Dance Program faculty.

As part of a two-week residency in September, Abraham will set a piece on Emory students for the Emory Dance Company Fall Concert (Nov. 17-19). During his residency at Emory, Abraham will participate in a new movement series dedicated to uncovering the architecture, process and findings of the choreographic process (Sept. 27). "Dance in Progress"will be an ongoing, informal presentation of works in various stages of creation, featuring the Emory dance faculty and guest artists.
